Chest of Drawers in Cherry
Wiping the finish onto the curly cherry drawer fronts of this Shaker-inspired dresser provides a reminder of the joy that traditional furniture building can bring. The design, inspired by Tim Bierle Furniture and based on Tom McClaughlin’s FWW article should stand the test of time- making the juice worth the squeeze! Casework is in local PA black cherry from Bailey Wood, drawer fronts in spectacular figured cherry from Hearne Hardwoods, drawer boxes in QS hard maple (Groff and Groffs), bottoms in QS EWP for stability, and pulls in ziricote for contrast!
